Reflection Verse:  Proverbs 19:26

Reflection: How sad it is when children want nothing to do with their parents. What a shameful disappointment and rebuke on the child that shows such disgrace to his/her parents.  How does one rectify causing great trauma and distress to their parents?  How does one overcome not honoring their mother and father?  The prodigal does not honor his parents and is plagued with this decision for life.  It is only through true repentance and forgiveness that the relationship can be restored.

Prayer:  Lord, I ask for forgiveness and reconciliation to all relationships that I have soured. Help me to be genuinely repentant and to be respectful in every relationship especially towards my parents and my children… In Jesus’ Name. Amen
