Reflection Verse:  Proverbs 22:22

Prayer:  Lord God, Thank You for Your Word which teaches me that I am to care for and help the poor and afflicted, not rob or oppress them in their already weakened state.  The issue is to not keep oppressing a person who is unable to help himself.  There is nothing to be gained in doing so. Show me, Lord, the need of the poor and afflicted.  Help me be a person who comforts and heals those afflicted or in need… In Jesus’ Name.   Amen.
