Scripture Readings:  Psalm 34:11-22, Exodus 34:29-36:7, Acts 1

Reflection Verses:  Exodus 36:6-7

Reflection:  Notice in the text today that the people gave their offering for the work of the tabernacle to the point that they not only gave enough, but they gave more than enough. In fact, they gave so much that Moses had to restrain them from giving. The people’s hearts to give were so willing that they gave more than was needed. Maybe they understood that it was God who gave to them everything they needed to survive every day of their lives, and that knowledge prompted the proper response in them. We also should remember, that God is blessing us every day, all day long and that knowledge should make us more generous not only to God’s work but also to God’s people.

Prayer:  Holy Father, I am thankful for all you do for me, because what You do for me sustains my life. Help me, Father, to show my gratitude by giving to the work of the Kingdom those gifts that You have required. May my heart be cheerful and willing, to give and give generously to the point that the need is met in abundance… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
