Scripture Readings:  Psalm 38:13-22, Leviticus 13:24-14:32, Acts 8:4-40

Reflection Verses:  Leviticus 14:8-9

Reflection:  God’s instructions for Kingdom community, had provisions for a person who had been isolated from the community because of an infectious disease to be restored, if that person was free from the disease after being examined. For this to occur was quite a process involving offerings, sacrifices and washings of the person and their clothes. Living in community with others is very important. Each person must take great care to honor relationships, and to protect others from the spread of disease by following authoritative instructions from qualified officials.

Payer:  Thank You, Holy Father, for Your great care for us. Only YOU are able to deliver us from sickness and disease. Give us a mind, Holy Father, to obey You, by obeying those you have installed as credentialed health officials and experts. Help us to understand, that we must count living in community with others as a blessing and take it very seriously. Help us, Father, to always be mindful of others, as YOU are mindful of us… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
