Scripture Readings:  Psalm 55:12-23, Numbers 20:14-21, Acts 21:1-16

Reflection Verses:  Numbers 20:28-29

Reflection:  Notice, in the text, that at God’s instructions Moses took off Aaron’s high priest garments and placed them on Eleazar, Aaron’s son – thereby transferring the office of the High Priest to Eleazar. Aaron complied, then died there at Mt. Hor and the people mourned. Beloved, leadership anointing and functions are passed on at the death of a leader. God’s work goes on; however, it is proper and right that there be a time of mourning for the people.

Prayer:  Holy Father, how excellent is YOUR Name in all the earth! YOU are God and there is no other God but YOU! Thank You, Lord, for saving me, keeping me, and leading me on this journey of faith and service. Thank You for the mantle of leadership that YOU have given me in my family and in YOUR kingdom. Help me to understand that having a successor to the work You have given me is important if that work is to continue. Give me the privilege of releasing it to that person when the time comes as You see fit… in Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
