Scripture Readings:  Psalm 59, Numbers 26:35-65, Acts 23:12-35

Reflection Verse:  Numbers 26:64-65

Reflection:  A census had been taken of the people of God by Moses and Eleazar, the High Priest. Every tribe had been counted and they were preparing to receive their inheritance in the promised land. But it should be noted, that an entire generation of Israelites were prevented by God, from receiving the promise and they died in the wilderness, with the exception of Caleb and Joshua. This was the result of their sinfulness and rebellion. Beloved, God will not bless rebellion. Think about that.

Prayer:  Dear God, our Heavenly Father, we are so grateful that You have allowed us another day in the land of the living. Please forgive our sins and work repentance in us. It is our desire to live for You – and for YOU to guide and bless our journey of faith. Give us a mind, O Lord, to be obedient to YOUR Word and to submit to YOUR authority ā€“ as well as to the authority of those whom YOU have given as our leaders. Help us, Holy Father, to be fully prepared when You call us home! In Jesusā€™ Name we pray. Amen.
