Scripture Readings:  Psalm 60, Numbers 27-28, Acts 24

Reflection Verses:  Numbers 27:6-7

Reflection:  The daughters of Zelophehad appealed to Moses concerning their inheritance. Their father had passed away, and they had no brother to receive the inheritance. The language of the Law did not provide for daughters to receive the inheritance, which meant that their fatherā€™s interests would be wiped out. However, God declared that they did have an inheritance, even though they were daughters. Godā€™s guidelines which provide a way for family inheritances to be passed on have been used throughout history and speaks to the fairness of God. Our God is not a respecter of person. God never takes advantage of men, women or children and neither should we.

Prayer:  Holy Father, Giver of every good and perfect gift. Thank You for this day. Thank You, Lord that we can be confident that no matter what we face, You will be with us to guide us and protect us. Thank You, Lord, that You treat us all as Your children. Thank You, that You are not a respecter of person but fair in Your treatment to everyone. Help us to treat others the way that You do. Help us to never regard race, sex, or anything that would make us unfair. Thank You, Holy Father, for the knowledge that we are all Your creation, with an equal opportunity to receive an inheritance from You, through Jesus Christ our Lordā€¦ In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
