Scripture Readings:  Psalm 68:8-19, Deuteronomy 7-9:6, Romans 3

Reflection Verses:  Deuteronomy 9:4-6

Reflection:  Beloved, God gave the Nation of Israel the promised land because the occupants of that land was so wicked. It was not the people of God’s righteousness that caused God to reward them with the land, because the fact of the matter is that the people of God were a stubborn and rebellious people themselves. However, God is a promise keeping God – and God promised Abraham that His descendants would inherit the land. God honored His promise to Abraham because Abraham was faithful and obedient to God. Think about that.

Prayer:  Holy Father; Giver of every good and perfect gift. You are The Promise-keeping God. We can depend on what You say and for that we are grateful. I am mindful, Lord, that what You are able to do through us and for us is because of our obedience and faithfulness to You. Empower us today, Holy Father, to be committed to You and Your work.  We are blessed by You over and over again. Thank You, Lord, for all we are able to do for Your glory… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
