Scripture Readings:  Psalm 69:1-18, Deuteronomy 11:16-12, Romans 5:1-11

Reflection Verses:  Deuteronomy 12:8-9

Reflection:  The text today teaches us that God has a way for His people to function, behave and worship. At that time the people were doing whatever they felt was right. However, once they entered and took possession of the land that God promised them, they found rest in God and settled into what God had for them. In the promised land they were to live and function and conduct themselves in a manner pleasing to God just as God had commanded – for only then could they live in peace and security that God provides.

Prayer:  Holy Father; You are holy in all Your ways and we exalt You today. We are so grateful that You chose us to walk in the newness of life and to inherit eternal life. Thank You, Holy Father for providing Your Word for instruction and guidance on our faith journey – and thank You for Your Spirit, Who give us power to mature in Your. Helps us to always acknowledge that this journey is not about us, but about You in us – so that we will forsake doing things our own way. As we grow in You, Heavenly Father, increase our desire to do things Your way, that You may be glorified in us. In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
