Scripture Readings:  Psalm 69:19-29, Deuteronomy 13-15:11, Romans 5:12-21

Reflection Verse:  Deuteronomy 15:10

Reflection:  God said that the poor and needy will always be with us.  Because of this, we, as the people of God, are to freely and willingly help them and not give to them grudgingly. That is the command of God. And as we bless the poor and needy from our hearts – God will bless us in all we do. Think about that.

Prayer:  Our Father, Who art in Heaven; Hallowed and Holy is Your Name. Thank You, Father for providing our daily bread and giving us all we need to thrive in the life that You have given us. Thank You, Lord, for every resource You have given us. Help us, Lord to have a right spirit within us and a heart to help those who are needy around us. We appreciate the opportunity to be a blessing – for we are blessed to serve You, in serving them… In Jesus’ Name we pray.  Amen.
