Scripture Readings:  Psalm 72:1-11, Deuteronomy 25-27, Romans 8:18-39

Reflection Verses:  Deuteronomy 26:17-18

Reflection:  The text reveals two proclamations. First, the people proclaimed that they would walk in God’s ways, hear God’s voice and keep God’s decrees, commands and regulations. After their proclamation, God then proclaimed that the people are His special people – and that as God promised, they should keep God’s commandments and God would bless them with favor above all other nations. Beloved, it is a good thing to make The Lord your God!

Prayer:  Holy Father; Thank You for being our God. Thank You for the precious promises that You have made to those who serve you and proclaim You to be their God. Holy Father, I proclaim You to be my God.  I desire to walk in Your ways, hear Your voice and keep Your commandments. Thank You, Lord, for telling me I am special to You.  I love You, Lord, and I will faithfully serve You… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
