Scripture Readings:  Psalm 75, Joshua 6:20-8:29, Romans 14:1-18

Reflection Verse:  Joshua 7:13

Reflection:  In today’s text, Israel lost the battle of Ai. There was sin in the camp and God had to correct the people. So, God told them to sanctify themselves to be prepared to rid themselves of this blatant sin in their community. Beloved, how devastating are the effects of sin on our collective witness and testimony, when a Christian blatantly sins in our midst!  Even when they try to hide it, it still affects us spiritually. God will never bless disobedience.

Prayer:  Holy Father, Thank You for a new day with new mercies! How faithful You are! Be gracious to us today, Father, according to Your lovingkindness. We seek to follow you wholly, Lord, but sin is ever present, and we sin. Please forgive us of our sins. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity as we seek to follow You. Holy Father, help us to be mindful to allow nothing to hinder our relationship with You! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
