MAY 18 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 94:1-11, I Samuel 20:35-23:6, Mark 15:21-47

Reflection Verse:  Mark 15:46

Prayer:  Lord God, Jesus was given a proper burial according to the customs of the time.  His body was not neglected but taken care of.  He was wrapped in a cloth, laid in a rock tomb and the door was securely shut.  I too will be buried according to today’s customs.  My body will be handled with care and placed securely in a grave.  Those who loved me will mourn my passing.  But Jesus knew and I know this burial place will not be my final place.  My final place will be with You, Lord, in heaven, secure in Your love and I thank you for that assurance… In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
