June 16 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 107:21-32, I Kings 18-19:9, 2 Corinthians 11

Reflection Verses:  2 Corinthians 11:5-6

Reflection:  In today’s reading, there is no question in Paul’s mind that God had called him to be an Apostle. Now, Paul did admit that his ability as a speaker may not be all that, however, Paul was certain that his knowledge of The Word of God was not lacking in any way. Paul’s calling from God, and his knowledge of God’s Word was evident to all who knew Him or had the opportunity to hear his message.

Prayer: Dear God, our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful that not one of your servants today must defend themselves concerning our calling from You. Thank You, God, that You make our calling plain to for all to see and experience as we engage people, to lead, to witness, to encourage or to serve them in anyway that You see fit. So, Lord, please keep us faithful in our calling… empower us to walk worthy of the calling and to serve You with a saving knowledge. Prompt us, O God, to continue faithfully to read and study Your Holy Word, so that Your Word may teach us of You, that we may teach others about You… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
