August 19 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 142, Esther 3-5, Luke 17:20-18:14

Reflection Verse:  Luke 18:13

Reflection:  Once a person recognizes that they are a sinner, confesses their sin and ask for God’s forgiveness… God will be merciful and forgive that person. I am so thankful that there is a cure for sin – Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.  Through God’s mercy in Jesus, I am forgiven of my sin, made righteous, and given a new life in Him. Hallelujah!!!! 

Prayer:  Father God, Thank You, for Your mercy to me and to all who are confessed sinners.  Thank You, Father God, for Your provision in Jesus the Christ. You are all I need, Lord and I Thank You… In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
