Reflection Verses:  Deuteronomy 6:4-7

Reflection:  God taught His people who God is and commanded them to love Him with everything in them. Their entire being was to be focused on loving God. And not only were they to do this, but they were to teach their children to do this also. Beloved, our children learn to know and love God when we teach them from God’s Word and by our life example.

Prayer:  Eternal God, our Heavenly Father; Once again You have blessed us to see a new day and we are grateful. Once again You are providing us with all we need to live and enjoy the life You have given us. We are very mindful that we commit sins, and we ask for forgiveness for ourselves and for our loved ones. Thank you for loving us so much. Help us to love You and serve You as we should. Enable us to teach Your ways to our children.  As we teach them, Lord, we pray that our children will love You as much as we love You, and that they will give their lives completely to You…In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
