Reflection:  Joshua led the nation of Israel into the Promised Land and fought against the inhabitants of that land until Israel had conquered the whole land – then they had rest from war. God had promised to give the land to the nation of Israel as an inheritance and He did just as He had spoken to Moses. Beloved, God always keeps His promises.

Prayer:  Eternal God, our Heavenly Father; Thank You for being Who You are in our lives. Thank You for Your exceeding precious promises to us. You have never let us down, Father, and our confidence is that You never will. We can depend on You, Lord, to deliver on Your promises to us – for Your promises are our inheritance. They are real to all who are Your children, and we are grateful! In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
