Reflection Verses:  Genesis 28:1-2

Reflection: Beloved, according to the text, Jacob now had the inheritance and lineage from Abraham to be God’s chosen people.  As such, he was not to marry from the women of Canaan as his brother had. Jacob was given specific instructions to go back to his mother’s family to take a wife. This says to us that marriage is very important and must be attended to with proper care, and under the guidance of God.

Prayer: Dear God, my Father, I am thankful, that You led me to my spouse (wife) in a place where I never considered I would find one.  I am eternally grateful for Your choice for me and our marvelous faith-filled life together. Bless all those in the Kingdom, who will seek You and wait on Your choice for a life mate for them, to enjoy a life of joy and faith with a godly spouse that You will provide. In Jesus’ Name.  Amen
