Reflection Verse: Genesis 35:7
Reflection: Beloved, Jacob had now come full circle and returned to Bethel – the place where God had spoken to him when he left Canaan some 20 years earlier. Jacob hid away all the idols in preparation and built an altar to worship the God of Bethel. In his worship he most likely sacrificed animals, perhaps even a 10th of them, since that was his promise when he left. We should always be ready to worship our God with every remembrance of Him and all He does for us.
