Reflection Verse:  Exodus 4:24-26

Reflection:
Notice in the reflection verses, that God, Who had called Moses to deliver the people of God from bondage, was now seeking to kill him. Understand, now, that Moses had not been obedient in the secret places of his life, so Moses was in danger of not only being disqualified to do God’s work – but also his disobedience put his life at risk! God was about to deal with Moses about his disobedience. The good news for Moses is that he had a wife who understood what was going on and that took the initiative to circumcised their son, which caused God to relent. Beloved, do not think that because God called you to a work that He will overlook your disobedience. Do not fool yourself into believing that just because God has given you an assignment, that God will allow you to disobey HIM in other areas of your life and service. In fact, I believe that your calling and assignment actually puts a spotlight on how you serve God. So, Beloved, be sure to serve God in truth, in all your ways, so that God will not have to meet you by the way and deal with you according to your sin!

Prayer: Holy Father, thank You for calling me. Thank You for blessing me with all I need to serve You in my assigned tasks. I realize, Holy Father, that sin separates me from You, so deal with me in the secret places of my life. Mold me and shape me to conform to the image of Your Son, Jesus, Who served YOU fully in all His ways. Empower me to live in obedience to You, Lord, so that I will be able to minister in Your Name without guilt or shame, knowing that I have Your favor and strength. Holy Father, I am totally dependent on You… in Jesus’ Name I pray.  Amen.
