Prayer:  Lord God, when David was dying, he admonished Solomon to keep You first and foremost in what he does. David reminded Solomon that being the King of Israel is established by God and that You would keep him as long as he remembered and served You faithfully. In doing so, Solomon would do his part to continue the legacy that You promised David. Holy Father, it is a privilege to serve You as one of Your leaders. May I be faithful in all I do and keep You first in what I do, so that my legacy is strengthened and established by You. May I also be faithful to teach the next generation about You…In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
