Scripture Readings:  Psalm 52, Numbers 14:13-15:21, Acts 18:18-19:22

Reflection Verse:  Numbers 14:24

Reflection:  What I love about Caleb in this narrative is that Caleb’s spirit was different from the 10 spies who gave the negative report about the Promised Land. Caleb trusted God and believed that God was able to accomplish for them what God said He would. Even when Caleb was in the extreme minority, he never wavered in his belief or his resolve to follow God, and expressed his willingness to do God’s will. My prayer is that we will be found as faithful and obedient as Caleb.

Prayer: Holy Father, Lover of my soul. I am thankful for Your guiding hand in my life and Your keeping power! Keep me faithful, Lord.  Keep me hearing You – and always depending upon You always and in all things… including those times that I find myself standing in the minority. I am thankful and privileged, Lord, to be one of Your servants… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
