Scripture Readings: Psalm 89:19-29, I Samuel 5-7, Mark 11:1-26
Reflection Verse: I Samuel 5:11
Prayer: The Ark of The Covenant had been seized and taken to two Philistine cities. Subsequently, the people of those two cities were stricken with tumors and even death. The Philistines did not want God’s Presence around them. They did not repent or seek God – they just wanted to get rid of Him, so they sought ways to send the Ark back to Israel. Beloved, how sad it is that when people do not know God, they often try to get away from God, rather than seeking God.
Prayer: Holy Father; You are awesome in all Your ways and we worship You today. We are aware that right relationship with You brings blessings – for in Your Presence is fullness of Joy! Therefore, Dear Lord, we invite You into our life. We need Your Presence. We need Your loving influence in our lives. We do not want to go a single day without Your Presence. In fact, Holy Father, we want to be even closer to You… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
