Scripture Readings: Psalm 93, I Samuel 19-20:34, Mark 15:1-20
Reflection Verse: I Samuel 20:15
Reflection: Jonathan and David were really good friends. But what is noteworthy in this reflection today, is that Jonathan had enough discernment and insight concerning the move of God, that he made David promise to take care of his family when David finally comes to power. Jonathan was keenly aware that David would be the next King of Israel and not him and he was fine with that because he recognized that it was the will of God. Lord give us that kind of discernment and humility!
Prayer: Our Father in Heaven. Thank You for the many giftings that You have bestowed upon us. Help us, Lord to accept who we are in You – and to accept what You are doing in others. Be glorified in our service… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
