Scripture Readings: Psalm 94:1-11, I Samuel 20:35-23:6, Mark 15:21-47
Reflection Verse: I Samuel 21:1
Reflection: Ahimelech was surprised and afraid when David showed up at the Lord’s house seeking advice and provisions. David was on the run, exiled, in grief and disoriented, so he did not use wisdom and put Ahimelech and his family in danger. Beloved, it is always good to seek God’s wisdom from leaders. However, when we do, we must be forthcoming in what is going on in our lives. Only then will we be assured of The Lord’s guidance in our affairs. Think about that.
Prayer: Holy Father. Thank You for loving me so much that You provide all I need each day. I am aware that I need Your wisdom and guidance as I seek to navigate this life. Give me the mind to seek You, and my spiritual leader, whom You assigned to be over me, for clarity and wisdom concerning direction and choices. Thank You for the privilege of seeking You…In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
