Scripture Readings: Psalm 87, Judges 20:19-21, Mark 9:14-32
Reflection Verses: Judges 20:47-48
Reflection: What an awful situation in Israel. Most of the valiant warriors, except six hundred men of the tribe of Benjamin was destroyed because they decided to protect the evil in their tribe rather than confronting and removing it. Beloved, sin in the camp affects everyone who is a part of the camp. Beloved, sin has to be confronted and dealt with or it will consume the others around it, even if they are unaware or had nothing to do with the sin. Meditate on that.
Prayer: Holy Father, Thank You for another day to live, love and serve You in the beauty of holiness! Thank You for grace and mercy, for we truly need Your grace and mercy every day of our lives. Thank You, Holy Father, for the blood of Jesus which cleanses us when we repent from our sin. Help us, Lord, to confront the sin in our life, and seek You for forgiveness, so that You may extend grace and mercy to us – that we may serve You fully and in right standing through Jesus Christ our Lord. And it is in Jesus’ Name that we pray. Amen.
