Scripture Readings: Psalm 88, Ruth 1-4, Mark 9:33-50
Reflection Verse: Ruth 1:22
Reflection: Naomi, who had left Bethlehem during a famine, was now returning in the midst of a life of famine. Her husband and two sons had died in the land of Moab. So, Naomi, now a widow, returned to her home with Ruth, her foreign daughter-in-law, who was also a widow. Their situation looked hopeless. Naomi and her family had left the Promised land for something better, but they did not receive better, because there is nothing better than God. Beloved, please seek God diligently about life changes and moves. Let God guide you – for God knows what is best for you. Selah.
Prayer: Holy Father, Giver of light and life; I am so grateful for another day. Thank You for keeping me through the night and for the refreshing rest of sleep. Today, Lord, I commit all my life decisions to you. Lead me into right paths and bless my life journey. I commit every move, every choice and every detail of my life to You. Thank You for caring about me and for me. I love being in the flow of what You are doing… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
