Scripture Readings:  Proverbs 30:15-23, Zephaniah 1-3, Revelation 18:1-10

Reflection Verse:  Proverbs 30:15-16

Reflection:  Beloved, “give me – give me” is a modern-day mantra that signifies greed and ungratefulness. According to these verses in Proverbs there are three things that are never satisfied – the grave, the barren womb and water on the earth. Fire, too, always consumes more and more. It cannot ever get enough. Friends, we should live our lives with an attitude of gratitude for the many blessings that we have and be satisfied with what God gives us… for only then will God release more blessings to us.

Prayer:  Help me, Lord, on this Christmas Day to be completely satisfied with You. Consume me, Lord, so I never get enough of You. Thank You, Lord, that You fill my every need… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
