May 21 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 96, I Samuel 27-29, I Corinthians 2

Reflection Verse:  I Corinthians 2:14

Prayer:  Lord God, a person who has not come to salvation in Christ is still in his old natural state and its lostness.  This person can’t understand what You are doing nor does he have any capacity to comprehend what You are doing.  Only those who have come to salvation in Christ have Your Spirit and are in tune with You and what You are doing.  I have accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord, so Your Spirit is awake and activated in me.  I now have the capacity to comprehend Your things and to see clearly those things that come against You.  Continue to open my eyes, Lord, and enlarge Your Spirit within me to comprehend more of You… in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
