May 20 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 95, I Samuel 25-26, I Corinthians 1

Reflection Verse:  I Corinthians 1:18

Prayer:  Lord God, who could ever believe that Jesus’ death on the cross would bring salvation to those who believe?  Sounds impossible but this is the truth and the power for us who believe, but absolute foolishness to those who do not believe.  Faith is also foolishness because it sees that which is not seen.  So when I believed in Jesus’ death on the cross for the forgiveness of my sin, I believed in faith that I am forgiven of my sin and have Your power, Lord, working in me and out from me to tell people what You have done in me… in Jesus’ name.   Amen.
