September 7 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings: Proverbs 3:1-6; Job 35-36; 2 Thessalonians 2

Reflection verses: 2 Thessalonians 2:13 -15

Reflection:  Beloved, it is the Sovereign choice of God to bring us to salvation. And God’s choice was from the beginning. Before we chose God, He chose us, and He chose us for salvation through sanctification. The two go together. Those who claim to be saved  must have the evidence of sanctification (separation from the world and unto God) otherwise, they are on shaky ground. Consider this, we can’t see if a person is chosen to be saved, but we can see if they are sanctified. Beloved, you must have the evidence of a saved life which is holiness. Pleased allow God by His Spirit and Word to guide you into a holy walk!

Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you for choosing me for salvation! Please Lord, help me to stand on Your truth… Your Word which I have been taught and which I share with others. Even when times are tough, and circumstances are difficult; help me to stand firm on what I have learned and what I know about You. In Jesus’ strong Name I pray. Amen
