August 17 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 140, Nehemiah 12:27-13, Luke 16

Reflection Verse:  Luke 16:31

Reflection:  Moses and the prophets spoke of  God revealing Himself to the world by coming to the world  in the Person of Jesus, long before Jesus came to earth to be our savior. People would not listen to God through those servants of God back then, so, it is of little wonder that they will not listen to God now through His Son, Jesus. Still, God’s desire to have a people totally devoted to Him has never ceased. May we live our lives in total devotion to God.

Prayer:  Father God, Thank You that in Jesus I am forgiven of my sins and have a life of holiness before You.  I am thankful for Your love for me and I am amazed at the grace I am given as I believe on Your Resurrected Son, Jesus… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
