August 21 Scripture Reading
Scripture Readings: Psalm 144, Esther 9-10, Luke 19:1-27
Reflection Verse: Luke 19:26 -27
Reflection: As citizens of the Kingdom of God, we are to invest in the Kingdom for the work of the Kingdom. If we do not invest in God’s work we lose everything because we are not doing what God has instructed us to do. Beloved, we are either in or out, fully invested or holding back, maturing and growing or immature and stunted; anything less than fully committed is working against God and not trusting God’s work in us. In fact, we sign our own death warrant by not being fully invested in God’s Kingdom – the result being that we am separated from God.
Prayer: Father God, I desire to invest whole heartily in Your Kingdom, trusting You to see me through this life and to live in eternity with You. Work in me Lord, the will to be Your faithful servant… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
