August 24 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 146, Job 6-7, Luke 20:20-21:4

Reflection Verse:  Luke 20:25

Reflection:  Beloved, when The Lord is first and foremost in our lives, everything else takes its proper place. God has an order for how we are to live our lives.  Nothing should take more authority than God, yet other things are still an integral part of our lives.  Government has its place and is to be honored but not given more authority than our Lord.

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, my life is in You, and I am thankful for it.  It is my desire to honor You by knowing the proper place for every agency that You have instituted and keeping them in their proper place. Dear God, I pray for those agencies such as the government and religious institutions. But lead me Lord, in how to honor You as I deal with them. Continue to guide and direct me as I live my life in and for You… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
