August 3 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings: Psalm 129, 2 Chronicles 34:14-35, Luke 9:28-62

Reflection Verse: 2 Chronicles 34:30

Reflection:  King Josiah committed his ways to God and took responsibility as the leader of not only Judah but the remnants of Israel and renewed the Nation’s covenant with God, in the presence of all the people. Josiah took to heart all that God had spoken concerning the Nation of Israel and all that God had promised them in His Word. Josiah promised God that he and the people would keep and obey all the terms of the Covenant. In doing so the entire nation of Israel and Judah are realigned in covenant with God.

Prayer:  Father God, may I take to heart all that You have spoken concerning me through Your Word. Help me, Lord, as I seek to be a faithful servant to You. Give me the desire and a made up mind to love and follow You with all that is within me. Thank You, Lord, for loving me and seeking me out to be one of Yours. Thank You for being my God… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
