August 9 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings: Psalm 135:1-14, Ezra 10, Luke 12:1-21

Reflection Verses: Psalm 135:1-2

Reflection: To praise The Lord in this Psalm is a call for stirring, passionate praise to God, but not praise that runs only on the fuel of emotion. This psalm gives many reasonable, logical reasons why we should praise the LORD. And certainly, we who are the servants of God should praise God wherever and whenever we can.

Prayer: Lord God, You are worthy to be praised. As Your servant, I will praise You in Your house, in Your courts, everywhere that I may be. I will praise You at all times. Whether in Your House, in my house, or even driving in my car. I will praise You, Lord! It is such a privilege to be Your servant… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
