July 1 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 118:13-21, 2 Kings 24-25, Ephesians 4:1-16

Reflection Verses:  Ephesians 4:11-12

Reflection:  God has given spiritual gifts to His church that are to be used to equip and build each other up in The Lord. With the spiritual gifts, God also gave spiritual authority to use the gifts to serve HIM, and other believers with humility, patience, tolerance and gentleness.  As we use our gifts properly, we do our part to help the whole Church to mature – as we reach out to those who do not know Jesus. 

Prayer: Dear God, I thank You for the gifts that you have given to the Body of Christ. Help each of us to receive Your gift and the authority You give with it, to equip and build up Your Church.  Enable us to recognize Your gifts in others – and to allow ourselves to be equipped and built up by them, so that we all can become mature believers – able to equip others… In Jesus’ Name. Amen
