October 12 Scripture Reading

Reflection Verse:  James 4:15

Reflection:  Sometimes we make plans, do our own thing, or enter into contracts and agreements without consulting God. We are all guilty of “counting our chickens before they hatch.”  Beloved, having dreams is good but acting on your dreams without seeking God as to how they line up with God’s will for you, could lead to serios problems for you and your family in the future. 

Prayer:  Dear Lord, help me to live with You each day, being content to be where I am. Prompt me to seek You in the affairs of each day and to also seek You and Your guidance concerning dreams, ambitions, or plans for my future. Lead me in everything so my life is lived according to Your will… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
