October 16 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Proverbs 12:21-28, Jeremiah 4-5, John 2

Reflection Verses:  John 2:3-4

Reflection:  Jesus’ first reported miracle – turning water into wine – comes at His mother’s request.  This particular miracle, demonstrates that nothing is better than Jesus – and that Jesus is able to provide what we need, and that nothing is better than what He provides. Beloved, Jesus is our Provision; He meets our every need. There is no better time than right now to do what Jesus says in word and deed.

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your wonderful provision of Jesus. Thank You, that Jesus supplies all our needs, and help us to realize that Jesus is ALL we really need! Empower us every day, Father, to obey His Word, proclaim His Word, and do the work He has called us to do… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
