September 19 Scripture Reading
Scripture Readings: Proverbs 6:6-11, Isaiah 2-4, 2 Titus 1:1-2:8
Reflection Verse: Titus 2:7-8
Reflection: Paul instructed Titus to be an example for those he appoints as elders and as an ambassador of Christ to those outside the church with his actions, his speech and the way he conducts his life. This is important for us today as well, for in doing so we will silence and also put to shame those who are against us.
Prayer: Father God, may my actions, speech, deeds, and life bring You glory. May I represent You well with faithfulness, honoring You. May I be such an example of You to others that I might silence those in opposition, putting them to shame so they will turn, accept Christ and follow You…In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
