September 30 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Proverbs 8:32-36, Isaiah 30-31, Hebrews 9:1-14

Reflection Verses:  Hebrews 9:8-10

Reflection:  The priests of the old covenant were unable to offer any sacrifice which cleansed and perfected the conscience of a person. Sacrifices had to be done yearly for atonement of sins or as needed for a particular sin. However, there was no inner transformation work done in any person. It was all external. But thanks be to God, that through the sacrifice of Jesus, our High Priest, who gave His own life for sin, Believers are transformed externally and internally. 

Prayer:  Lord God, Thank You for Jesus and His redemptive work. I believe on Him and the shedding of His blood for my salvation. Thank You that the Blood of Jesus cleanses me from the inside out! I am eternally grateful for this marvelous gift of Your grace through Jesus… and it is in Jesus’ Name that I pray. Amen.
