September 20 Scripture Reading
Scripture Readings: Proverbs 6:12-15, Isaiah 5-6, Titus 2:9-3:15
Reflection Verses: Titus 3:10-11
Reflection: A person who continually stirs up trouble and comes against God’s set leaders in the church is to be rejected after a couple of warnings. An individual who causes undue problems or who stirs up divisions in the Local Assembly is sinning against God and in the process has opened himself up to the discipline of God. However, regardless of what the troublemaker does, God’s set leader is to focus on God’s Word while keeping his distance or setting boundaries from that person. Be assured, God knows how to work in His House to restore peace and unity.
Prayer: Lord God, I desire to have Your peace in my life. There are times when an individual seeks to disrupt that peace by coming against me as Your servant. Help me, Lord, to focus on You and Your word so this individual can find Your peace also… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
