September 25 Scripture Reading
Scripture Readings: Proverbs 7:6-23, Isaiah 17-20, Hebrews 4:1-13
Reflection Verse: Hebrews 4:11
Reflection: Israel fell from the promised joy of God because of the disobedience of unbelief. And the same thing can happen to any professing Christian. It can happen to you or me. But to keep it from happening — and to show that we are more than mere professing Christians, we are encouraged to “Be diligent to enter God’s rest” — God’s heaven. Be diligent, Beloved! Pay close attention to what you’ve heard and learned; do not neglect your great salvation!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for exhorting us to be diligent, as Christians, to stay true to our salvation. Our obedience guarantees that we will enter into Your rest. Dear God, may my focus be on You. Help me stay true to You and my salvation through Jesus Christ. Give me strength to resist temptation lest I fall and lose that rest which You promised… In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
