August 23 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings: Psalm 145:8-21, Job 4-5, Luke 20:1-19

Reflection Verses:  Luke 20:7-8

Reflection:  The religious leaders were unwilling to answer Jesus because they were afraid of the consequences of their answer. They did not want the people to kill them. Yet they did not want to recognize Jesus’ authority. Thus, they were ensnared in their own trap. Beloved, honesty is always the best policy. Be honest about your relationship with God in Jesus. Be honest about where you are in your relationship with Jesus. Your honesty will lead you to Divine truth and a deeper revelation of Who Jesus is in your life. 

Prayer:  Lord God, Thank You for being my God. Thank You for Jesus and His authority in my life.  You know what is best for me and I seek that. I proclaim it and yield to it… In Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
