July 15 Scripture Reading
Scripture Readings: Psalms 119:97-104, I Chronicles 21-22, Colossians 4:2-18
Reflection Verse: Colossians 4:8
Reflection: When we become discouraged, it is our hearts that need comfort. God will put someone in our path to encourage us when we need it. Has God given you the gift of encouragement? Maybe God is putting people in your path so that you can be an encouragement to them. They may need a warm handshake, a cup of coffee or maybe just a listening ear. God will comfort His people with the Holy Spirit and Scripture. However, God also wants us to comfort others like He does… through the Holy Spirit and the Word.
Prayer: Lord, empower me, that I may be used to teach and encourages others by Your Spirit and in Your Word. Enable me to first, be discipled, taught and encouraged by one who knows You, that I may do the same for others… In Jesus’ name. Amen.
