July 26 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalms 121, 2 Chronicles 16-18:27, Luke 6:1-19

Reflection Verses:  Luke 6:9-11

Reflection:  Jesus was neither ashamed nor afraid to own the purposes of His grace. Jesus healed the poor man, though He knew that His enemies would use that act as an advantage against Him. Beloved, let us not be drawn away from our duty or from our usefulness by any opposition or adversity. There is no doubt that we will be amazed at the wickedness of men as we seek to do God’s will.

Prayer:  Lord God, my heart’s desire is to serve You.  Sometimes people get so upset with me when I do. However, I am aware that I am here to do Your will. Lead me, Lord, and help me understand during those times when men oppose the work I do for You. Strengthen me and guide me as I follow You… In the Name of Jesus I pray.  Amen.
