July 27 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalms 122, 2 Chronicles 18:28-20, Luke 6:20-49

Reflection Verse:  Luke 6:35

Reflection:   Jesus commanded believers to do good and not to base their behavior on the hope of receiving reciprocal treatment. Jesus promised that when Believers do good, God would reward them. Believers are to focus not on the kinds of things this world provides but on the treasure that only God can provide for His children.

Prayer:  Father, Thank You for being so good to me. Thank You for always providing for me those things I need. Now, Lord, enable me to be a blessing to others… even those who do not treat me right. Help me, Lord, to extend to them the same kindness and favor that You have extended to me. Be glorified in what I do for You and the Kingdom of God… In Jesus’ Name I pray.  Amen.
