July 31 Scripture Reading
Scripture Readings: Psalm 126, 2 Chronicles 29-30:12, Luke 8:22-39
Reflection Verse: Psalm 126:6
Reflection: The sentiment of this Psalm is that he who labors hard, in cold and in rain, in fear and danger, in poverty and in want, casting his precious seed in the ground, will surely come again, at harvest-time, with rejoicing, and bearing his sheaves with him.”
Prayer: Lord God, we are aware that we must sow if we are to reap a harvest. Lord, help us, when our sowing is in suffering or sorrow. Grant us a harvest of blessings that brings us great joy. Help me, Lord, to sow the seeds You give me so there will always be a continual harvest… In Jesus’ name. Amen.
