May 26 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Psalm 101, 2 Samuel 7-8, I Corinthians 7

Reflection Verse:  I Corinthians 7:16

Prayer:  Father God, a non-believer is sanctified through their spouse, so their children are holy.  If a non-believer stays in a marriage with a believer, then salvation is possible because of the believing spouse.  This is a mystery, but there is something about the believer’s witness in the covenant of marriage that You honor, Lord.  Likewise, I am to be a faithful witness to my spouse in the covenant of marriage.  I am to honor You, Lord, in my relationship with my spouse so as to live at peace with my spouse.  Thank You, Lord, for this amazing opportunity to serve You and to be a witness of what a marriage that has You in it, Lord, even at its core, looks like… in Jesus’ Name.  Amen.
