October 17 Scripture Reading

Scripture Readings:  Proverbs 13:1-6, Jeremiah 6-7:29, John 3:1-21

Reflection Verses:  John 3:14-15

Reflection:  Jesus taught that just as Moses lifted the serpent  up in the wilderness to stop the judgment that was on the Hebrew people, Jesus being lifted up on the cross stops the judgment of sin on All people who believe on Him. And not only that but Any person who believes in Jesus has eternal life. Jesus’ death on the cross brought forgiveness for sin and reconciliation to God.

Prayer:  Eternal God, I believe in Your Son, Jesus. Thank You for forgiving us of our sins when we believe in Him. Thank You for eternal life in Jesus. Lord, ALL of the glory belongs to YOU! AND – Every praise is to our God! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
